Founder letter from Dr An, Dr Ron, and Dr Dave

Hi, we are Dr An, Dr Ron, and Dr Dave, and this is the story of why Dr Woof exists.

Dr Woof began in hospital corridors, during long nights, tired feet, and uniforms that felt as heavy as the shifts themselves. As a family of veterinarians, we lived the same reality many of you live today. Dr An and Dr Dave are still working full time in the medical world. Dr Ron stepped out of clinical life to focus entirely on building Dr Woof, but all three of us have always shared the same belief.

The people who care for others deserve to feel cared for too.

We knew the feeling of rushing from patient to patient with sore legs, stiff scrubs, and a sense that everything around us was far too grey. We knew what it felt like to try to stay human in a job that can sometimes drain every part of you.

One day we asked a simple question that changed everything. Why should healthcare feel so bleak when the people inside it give so much?

We did not want to create another basic uniform.
We wanted to create something that felt genuinely good.
Something medically comfortable.
Something joyful.
Something that brought personality and humanity back into the place that needs it most.

So we began designing.

Our first products were scrubs. We focused on stretch, breathability, softness, and movement. We wanted uniforms that felt like clothing made for real bodies and not for mannequins. Every fabric and every fit had to pass our twelve hour shift test. If it did not feel exceptional after a real day in the hospital, we kept improving it.

Then we expanded into compression socks, bringing the same standard of comfort to tired legs and long days. Bamboo rich yarns, supportive structure, gentle feel, and then the part that became our signature.

Joy.

Comfort alone was never enough.

We wanted our products to lift people emotionally and not only physically. That is where our prints became the heart of our brand. We never predicted how popular they would become. We simply wanted to bring a small spark of brightness into rooms that often hold heaviness.

That spark spread faster than we imagined.

Nurses told us their socks made coworkers smile.
Patients noticed.
Kids noticed.
Entire wards felt lighter.
We soon realised that our designs were more than patterns.
They were small acts of optimism.
They helped people feel human inside a system that sometimes feels overwhelming.

That is when our purpose became clear.
We were not only creating better gear.
We were creating comfort and joy for the people who bring comfort and care to everyone else.

Our mission is simple.
Make the medical world smile.

Today Dr Woof serves healthcare workers and anyone who values true comfort and joyful design. Whether you are running a code, lifting a patient, treating a dog or cat, or moving through your everyday life, our products are made for your hardest days and your happiest ones.

We are still clinician founded.
We still design with real bodies and real shifts in mind.
We still obsess over fabric, compression, softness, fit, and durability.
And we will always believe that a small moment of joy can change an entire day.
